April 15, Wednesday Judy Moore Pullen; we love her, we admire her upbeat attitude, we are honored to call her our own. Judy will discuss the importance handwork provides to our mind, body and spirit. We’ve asked her to share her quilt journey, her new book she’s working on, the organizations she assists, and of course her beautiful quilts. Judy is the author of various books and patterns, a representative and blogger for Colonial Needles, as well as an instructor with area quilt shops.
April 16, Thursday A workshop with Judy on wool/cotton needle turn appliqué. Beginners through experts are welcome because Judy will conduct the class to accommodate your questions and demonstrate as needed. Workshop is $35 and includes your kit.
The Guild encourages new members to give needle turn appliqué a try, not only to learn a new skill but also for the social time with meeting other members who share the same interests as you. Supply list available at the program/workshops table.
May 20, Wednesday Gail Hurn, our respected mentor and wonderful friend to all Guild members, has graciously accepted our repeated ask to present her Amish Quilt Trunk Show and story of her relationships with the Amish in her business ventures. Amish quilts breathe perfection, beg to be admired, and bring the wow factor to perfect stitches. We eagerly await this special May lecture and encourage you to get a front row seat to enjoy Gail’s program. (We hope Gail brings some of her own quilts to share as well….let her know your favorites. Flamingo, hint hint.) Additionally, tea and finger foods will be provided by the Sew Chatty Bee in celebration of our 20 years as a Guild. A few surprises, and surely a few treasured memories of the Guild’s history will also be shared.

July 16 Thursday Dawn will present (2) TWO workshops: Scalloped Borders and Big Stitch Quilting. One workshop for $30, or both workshops for $45.
1. Scalloped Borders that do not involve bias edges. Begins at 9:00, ends at lunch. Sewing machine is required. No kit fee, but Dawn can offer one for $25.
2. Big Stitch Quilting: Love hand quilting but don’t have the time? Learn the big stitch method that adds texture to your quilts in half the time. Begins after lunch and ends at 3:00. No sewing machine required. No kit fee.
