The story of this quilt: In 2022 when Leslie Sparks moved to this area she downsized her sewing room and donated this Block of the Month (Pieces of Baltimore) quilt for the 2023 Silent Auction. Leslie had almost completed the center block and started another block but decided that she was not an applique quilter. JoAnn Hughes was the Silent Auction Chair for the 2023 Quilt Show; she consulted the JABS bee and they decided to see what they could come up with to best utilize the donation. Several JABS members stepped up to create one of the blocks or one of the corner units. When all blocks were finished and the quilt top was assembled, it was decided to use it for the Donation Quilt for our 2027 show.
