Our Donation Quilt "Tranquility"

"Tranquility": (Queen size, 88"x88") is fashioned from a pattern in a book titled Biblical Blocks Inspired Designs for Quilters by Rosemary Makhan. A few of the bible stories that inspired the blocks: Solomon's Puzzle, Job's Tears, Joseph's Coat and the Gard of Eden. The Tree of Life centers the quilt and you will be awed by the skill required to adorn the borders with dainty flowers and stems (the Rose of Sharon pattern). The quilt was masterfully sewn by thirty experienced guild members who invested approximately 1200 hours of their time, and guild member Leslie Sparks lovingly quilted Tranquility on her longarm quilting machine. Purchase tickets for a chance to win the quilt at any of our monthly guild meetings. The raffle winner will be announced at the festival; winner need not be present.
