Coming Events June at the Texas Quilt Museum in LaGrange An exhibit of Paula Nadelstern’s Kaleidoscopic Quilts will open June 23 at the Texas Quilt Museum in LaGrange. She will be there to give a free lecture on June 29 at 3 pm. Check out the website texasquiltmuseum.org to read about this exhibit as well as a second exhibit opening June 27 “In the American Tradition”. If you have not been to the museum, this would be a good opportunity to go AND there is a really nice quilt shop next door. Also, a good shop in Giddings on the way.
Lubbock at the Texas Tech Museum June 25-Dec 15 An exhibit of almost 6000 examples of printed cotton sacks, likely the largest at a public institution from the collection of the Texas Tech Museum. Quilts, toys, and clothing were made from these “free” feedsacks.
July 19 - 20, 2019. Temple TX The Wildflower Quilt Guild’s Quilt Show “Star Light, Star Bright” will be held on July 19-20 at the Frank Mayborn Convention Center, 3303 N Interstate 35, use Exit 303. Show times are 9-5 on Friday and 9-4 on Saturday. Admission is $6. We will have over 150 quilts, vendors, raffle quilt, a boutique with reasonably priced handmade items and grab bags, demonstrations, door prizes, and bed turning. wildflowerquilt.webs.com/quilt-show
